Experience
No tutoring experience. However, I have had several Teacher's Assistant at both undergraduate and graduate levels spanning several subjects including: political science, philosophy, ethics, English Literature, and theology. During this time, I've had ample opportunity in leading discussions, lecturing, and grading. I want to be a tutor because I have a passion for helping students learn. This passion was instilled in me by tutors and teachers that I've had during my several years of education. Without the assistance of my tutors and teachers, I would have been a poorer writer, thinker, and student. It is my desire to give myself in this way to students in need. Tutors have given me hope and direction in my educational pursuits and I would love the opportunity to do the same for others. I have two degrees: one in English Literature and one in Philosophy. My degree in English Literature has helped hone my skills in reading comprehension and writing. My degree in Philosophy has further honed these skills as well as skills in critical thinking and precision in writing. These skills transcend all of the disciplines, whether it be math or music appreciation. For this reason, I believe that I am sufficiently qualified to assist students in being successful in a variety of subjects and academic endeavors.

Hobbies
Being an aspiring professional academic, many of my hobbies pertain to academics. For instance, I love reading. Though most of my reading is in various subjects in Philosophy, my "pleasure" reading consists of Jane Austen and Dostoyevsky. Additionally, I love playing guitar, Bob Dylan, watching movies and television series on Netflix (I'm currently going through Breaking Bad). I also enjoy going to concerts, pour-over coffee, and going to the beach. My main interest, however, is being a good husband to Lindsey and good father to Penelope. They are my inspiration. Everything that I love and do cannot compare to the joy that they bring to me.
