Experience
My tutoring experience is as follows: Elementary School - 5 years High School - 6 years College - 5 years Club Z private tutor - 4 years WyzAnt private tutor - 2 year SAT tutor - 1 year I began tutoring as a sophomore in college and instantly fell in love with the experience. During this time, I've tutored over 60 students in the Stockton and Sacramento area, ranging from as young as 4 years old to as old as 55 years of age.I can truly say that I enjoy working with kids as well as adults. My tutoring approach can vary depending on the student’s needs, personality and learning style. However, my teaching philosophy is based on encouraging students to think for themselves. My goal as a tutor is to create a sense of deep understanding and confidence within my students which they can then use on homework, exam questions and possibly life in general. I take my role as a tutor very seriously. I always come prepared with the necessary supplies, and regularly make sure to silence my phone in order to give my students the proper attention that they deserve. In my opinion, there are some aspects to tutoring that make it indispensable in helping students achieve their potential. In essence, personal tutoring is the foundation for deep understanding and true mastery of a subject. I consider tutoring to be one of my biggest passions. I believe in the importance of education and see it as the key to a better future. And I am a firm believer in the power of mentoring and take tremendous pride in watching my students succeed.
