ExperienceI am an experienced tutor, and I have helped a wide variety of students with their studies. I have worked with people of all ages, from young children to older adults, including adult immigrants just learning the English language. I began my personal education by earning a degree in Anthropology from UC Berkeley. After graduation, I lived in Chile for a year and taught the English language to college students. This experience made me realize how much I love to teach, so I then decided to go back to college at San Jose State University to work toward a master's degree in TESOL. I love to both teach and tutor, but tutoring is a passion of mine due to the freedom it allows me to tailor my method of teaching to a specific student's learning style. I enjoy this one-on-one time that allows me to really give a student my full attention. When I tutor, I always strive to help a student build confidence and new motivation to learn as well as the subject material we are working on. I tutor a variety of courses, but my favorite subjects to teach are Spanish and English. When not tutoring, I like to stay active by salsa dancing and hiking. I also love to travel when I get the opportunity.
